Migrating Fossil Group to Salesforce Commerce Cloud

The never-ending project, part 2

selfie

This has been a very long series of sprints, and is scheduled to continue into 2022/2023. Initial work, beginning in late 2018, consisted of taking all of the old content from all Fossil sites (US, UK, AU, IN, CA-EN, CA-FR, FR, IT, DE, JP and KR), evaluating which content is current and which is vestigial, create a new tree structure, css, workflow, and assets, then recreating something very similar in Salesforce Commerce Cloud on the Salesforce Reference Architecture.

As the content production team was working an entirely predefined component based workflow, I also created best practice guides, authoring guides, and code snippets to make life easier. While creating the content for these sites, I also mentored 3 junior personnel, teaching them how to do basic front-end development with HTML5, CSS3, vanilla Javascript and JQuery, within a Bootstrap 4.5 framework.

I recently stood up Misfit and Watchstation International as well, and am in the middle of standing up Michele watches and Zodiac watches, two luxury brands.

One of my recent layouts is seen in this screenshot, using some masonry-type behavior courtesy of flex.
