The Social Sign-On Lazarus Project
Bringing a project back from the dead
There really aren't any screenshots for this one.
My employer hired a 3rd party agency (which shall remain nameless) to integrate Gigya, a 3rd party provider, with our AEM platform sites to enable signing in via Google, Facebook, and other login providers. Said 3p did not integrate Gigya with our AEM sites, and the project died. A small cross-functional team including myself was given the project to complete, with the knowledge that it'd been dead for a year. The 3p dev docs were inaccurate and barely readable, as well as omitting large portions of the project scope.
This was a blend of project management, UX, design, front-end development, and technical writing. I established meetings, brought in stakeholders, collaborated with different departments and Gigya, established timelines and scope, brought the project to a functioning state, handheld it through testing, and wrote documentation on how to deploy the social sign-on component ecosystem across all Fossil Group AEM sites.
